Applications are still being accepted for the scholarship program and essay contest
The Malabar Farm Foundation has announced a new Scholarship Program. The first activity in the program is an Essay Contest open to all 7th graders in Richland County this first year.
Students will spend "A Day at Malabar" on April 14, 2018. The day will include a House Tour, Wagon Tour, and a presentation in the main barn. Students will learn of the heritage of Louis Bromfield and his passion for soil conservation.
Following the "Day at Malabar", students will submit an essay to the Malabar Farm Foundation. Essays will be judged on their language art skills and their awareness of the importance of soil conservation.
Three cash scholarships will be awarded (First Place $300.00, Second Place $125.00, Third Place $75.00).
