The Hostel offers the perfect resting spot for vacationers, travelers, groups and families. This 1919 mail order catalog home was one of the four farms purchased by Pulitzer-prize winning novelist and screenwriter Louis Bromfield. Naming the farm the "Fleming Place" in his first book about Malabar Farm (Pleasant Valley), the house is where the Bromfield family lived during the construction of the "Big House". This cozy hostel is located on a working farm in Malabar Farm State Park in rural Ohio. Explore all that this state park has to offer - rolling hills and valleys - by foot or bicycle; and cross-country skis or snow-shoes in the winter time! Open & Office Hours: March through October (Closed November through February) Monday (Only if Monday is a holiday) 7-10am Thursday 5-10pm Friday - Saturday 7-10am 5-10pm Sunday 7-10am 5-10pm (Only if following Monday is a holiday) Open year-round for groups with reservation, minimum stay requirements apply. Go about 2 miles; turn right at 4-way stop at Little Washington Rd. Go south about a half mile. At fork in road bear left onto Pleasant Valley Rd. Go about 6 miles; turn right at Bromfield Rd. Hostel is first house on right. (Follow signs for Malabar Farm State Park.)
