Barn/Square Dances

In celebration of country life, Malabar Farm continues the tradition that Louis Bromfield started by hosting country barn dances in the main timber frame barn at Malabar Farm. A total of six (6) barn dances are scheduled April through October.

ALL dances are FREE and open to the public. Beginner and veteran dancers are welcome. Enjoy live music and square-dance calling provided by the Back Porch Swing Band and square dance caller Tom McConahay. This group has pleased hundreds of dancers for many years with their down-home style and patience with beginner dancers.Food and refreshments available at dance.
